Hello & Malo `e lelei' =)
Welcome to my blog. I'm not quite sure why it's taken me so long to create a blog, but here I am and I'm super excited about letting out my emotions and relieving all the stress and feelings I'm experiencing.
I think it's most appropriate that I introduce myself. My name is Lavinia Vaea Vaitai and I was born to two wondeful and strong humans: Halapo'ulivaati and Lolohea (Moungaloa) Vaitai on May 5, 1986. I have an older, wonderful sister named Delilah Virginia Vaitai and two wonderful younger brothers Sione Felipe and Manaaki Kite Rangatira Vaitai (who at the present time are serving 2-year LDS missions).
I recently graduated from Park University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Communication Theory & Human Relations. While attending Park University, I played volleyball and participated in a few club/organizations.
People say college is the best time of your life, and I couldn't agree more. However, I don't say that because of all the parties and drinking that the usual crowd does, instead, I say that because in college, a person can grow immensely from the temptations, freedom, opportunities and people found on a college campus.
I learned a lot while at PU and I wouldn't trade my experience there for the world. Everything happens for a reason and I'm glad I decided to go.
Three months after graduating, I found a full-time internship with Conference USA working in their media relations department. I've been here a month and its been a great learning experience. Adjusting to the schedule and the craziness of the media field has been a bit challenging, but I'm enjoying it all nonetheless.
When I'm not playing volleyball, going to work or hanging out with family and friends, I'm doing my best to take part in building the Lord's kingdom on earth. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I attend the Euless 2nd Ward. In the ward I am currently serving as Primary Teacher to children ages 3-5, volleyball coach to the young women, and young woman camp director.
I have truly been blessed and my faith has definitely increased since accepting these callings. Everything I've accomplished in life, all that I possess is because of the unconditional love the Father bestows upon me. He is the King of Kings and because of Him, I live!
I believe God lives. I belive Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God and He was born into this world by a mortal mother and immortal Father. He was sent here for a purpose; to die for our sins that we may live again. My knowledge of the gospel and the love of our Savior is something I truly cherish and I wouldn't trade for my life. I am grateful for the knowledge I have and for the opportunity to continue learning about the worldful grace of our Father in Heaven.
I believe the Lord loves all His children equally and because He does, there is a living prophet upon the earth today and he receives personal revelation pertaining to the kingdom of Heaven and the means by which we should follow to get there. Thanks for stopping by and look for more to come in the near future ;).
